Oprah’s LiveStrong Wristband Challenge
Lance Armstrong is on Oprah today and Oprah challenged her viewers to break the one day sales record for LiveStrong wristbands – the current record is 386,890. Go ahead, break the record. If you are a cancer survivor, or are supporting a cancer survivor, check out the LiveStrong for support information. Finally, if you want to support cancer survivorship, donate to support the Ride for the Roses or find a local organization that supports cancer survivors and donate or volunteer. Over the next few weeks, I will be highlighting some of the organizations that have helped us learn about cancer and offer various kinds of support.

hello oprah my name is frances guthrie age 84. i live at ripley, west virginia and i watch your program and i commend you on the things you do on your program and the way you have made a difference in other peoples lives and the role model you show to others. i enjoyed so much your program with lance armstrong and his 7th win after his battle with cancer. i can join with his mother that we should never give up in our battle against cancer. i am a cancer survivor as of july 2004 and i can truly say it was a real battle i fought. i thank God and a good medical team that i am free of cancer. i heard you say you were trying to break your record in the sale of live strong wristbands so i am ordering 10 to give out to people. since my release from the hospital i have been wearing a wristband CELEBRATE LIFE !!! THANK YOU
