Riding for Roses

We had a followup doctor visit to do a wound check on Spencer’s road rash today and it looks great. I called the oncologist’s office on Monday and left a nursing message to let them know. They called back and said everything should be fine and to just do a wound check with Spencer’s regular doctor and call if we need anything. Dr. Cardwell is on vacation, so we got another pediatrician who we’d never met before. Unfortunately I forgot his name. He checked the wounds and was impressed with how fast they’re healing and my dressing technique, so I definitely have to remember the mechanics. We should be able to stop wearing bandages on some of the wounds within the next couple of days.
