Vacation Interlude
I don’t think I actually wrote about this on my blog since I did not want to curse it. We are on vacation. A quick taste of what’s up with the possibility that I will elaborate later. We had dinner with His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan and Spencer gave him a few liveStrong wrist bands. We attended my 25 year Deerfield Academy reunion and delivered thanks to my Deerfield classmates who, so far, have donated over $1500 to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. We had a family reunion on Sunday in Stuyvesant Falls, NY. We are now getting ready for bed while I quickly catch up on email at the Harding House guest house in Cambridge. We spend the next couple of days here seeing sights, family, and friends. Then we return home just in time for Spencer to have a lumbar puncture and chemotherapy infusion to kick off his intensification cycle.
As of now, Spencer’s official fundraising total is $4,281.13. This puts Spencer on target to make the $15,000 for Polka Dot Jersey category of LAF Peloton Project. We are still working on some projects to take it to the next level and achieve $25,000. Keep watching this space and donate now to support cancer survivors and Spencer, Riding for Roses.
Life is great today. It doesn’t matter that Spencer hair will fall out and his immune system will crash in the next eight weeks. We are having fun this week and we will find ways to have fun when Spencer is not allowed to hang out with groups of people.
